Hope For Haiti

Posted by: loveworldinternetradio on: March 17, 2010

The role of the Church in reaching out to the world with the saving grace of Christ’s salvation must be demonstrated in words, deeds and action as the Bible says faith without works is dead…” James 2:26.

As Christians; we have been called into a life of total devotion to God, and service to mankind. This was aptly demonstrated by Jesus’ action when He fed five thousand people with a little boy’s lunch.

Today, the world is plagued with catastrophes from one region to another. Yet the bible says “ye are the light of the world …” Mathew 5:14. We have a calling to respond to the cries of many who may be affected.

And in response to the humanitarian crises and dire need experienced by the people of Haiti in the aftermath of the devastating earthquake which left untold suffering and destruction in its wake, Pastor Chris Oyakhilome organized a special Musical Concert to raise funds to send relief materials to the children in Haiti.

The concert which was tagged Hope Haiti Concert; Mission for the Children was a huge success; It was a musical night of hope, healing and restoration, which we know will bring succor, and restore hope once again to the children in Haiti.

Speaking at the special music concert, the Man of God, Pastor Chris stressed the importance of reaching out to save the lives of children, especially those in Haiti whose future have been affected following the massive earthquake which struck the country.

Like the special song sang for children by Pastor Chris, “If you really can do all things through Christ, reach out… reach out now….” we must live our calling in Christ.
